Envelopes carrying your letterhead branding, so what arrives looks like it came from the company that sent it.

DL takes a folded A4 letter and is the standard for correspondence. A5 and A4 are for documents that must not be folded at all — contracts, certificates, anything with a signature on it.

A window saves printing the address twice, because the address on the letter shows through — but only if your letter template puts it in the right place. Keep artwork clear of the flap and of the bottom band, where sorting machines print their own marks.
