Cookie Policy
The short version: a handful of cookies sign you in, keep your basket and remember your language. There is no tracking or advertising cookie on this site.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep. It is how the site recognises the same browser on the next page — which is what lets a basket survive a click, or a sign-in survive a refresh.
This site also uses your browser's own storage, which does the same job without sending anything to us. Both are covered here.
The cookies we set
jp_customer — keeps you signed in to your account. Expires after 8 hours. Necessary.
jp_admin — keeps a member of our staff signed in to the admin dashboard. Expires after 8 hours. Necessary.
jp_gate — holds a verification in progress while you confirm your email address or mobile number. Short-lived, and gone once the check finishes. Necessary.
locale — remembers whether you chose English or Arabic, so the site opens in your language next time. Expires after a year. Necessary.
The first three are set by our server and cannot be read by any script in your browser. All four are readable only by this site.
What we keep in your browser instead
jp.cart.v1 — your basket, so it survives a refresh or a closed tab.
jp.orders.v1 — the orders placed on this device, so Track Order can find them without a sign-in.
jp.cookieNotice.v1 — records that you have seen the notice at the bottom of the screen, so it is not shown to you again.
jp.checkout.draft.v1 — what you had typed at checkout, held only until the tab is closed.
None of this is sent to us automatically, and clearing your browser's site data removes all of it.
What we do not use
There is no Google Analytics on this site. No advertising pixel. No Meta, TikTok or Snap tag. No third-party tracker of any kind.
Nothing here follows you to other websites, and we do not share or sell browsing data.
If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent before setting anything, and this page will describe it before it goes live.
Why the notice has no "reject" button
Because everything above is necessary for the site to do what you came for — sign in, hold a basket, remember a language. There is nothing optional here to decline.
A "reject" button that changed nothing would be theatre, and we would rather tell you the truth than perform a choice. The day we add anything optional, a real choice will appear with it.
Payment and delivery pages
When you pay by card you may be taken to your bank's or our payment provider's own page to confirm the payment. That page belongs to them, sets its own cookies and is governed by their policy, not this one.
The same applies to a courier's tracking page you open from a delivery notice.
Managing cookies yourself
Every browser lets you see which cookies a site has set, delete them, and block new ones. It is usually under Settings, then Privacy.
If you block ours you can still browse the shop and see prices, but you will not be able to stay signed in, keep a basket between pages, or complete an order.
Changes and contact
We will update this page whenever the list above changes. The version here is always the current one.
